Hi there,

I do have an Optimus laptop (GT540M, i7 2630M, 8Go) under windows 7 64 bits.
When I try to stream I do have only a black screen, while my cursor appears. I investigate a bit, using the log windows, and it seems that OBS is always using the integrated GPU, while detecting the two GPU that I have... (cf log)
I tried to run OBS with the Nvidia control panel, but the problem persist.
The window log is available here: http://pastebin.com/2FzAnv6B

I also thought to disable, momentarily, the iGP but it not as simple as that ...

any idea here ?

This thread explains how things should be configured. In OBS, the first adapter in the list should be selected, regardless of what it is. In the Nvidia control panel, OBS should be configured to run in "high performance" mode. OBS has to be running on the same GPU as your game for it to be captured properly.

Thanks for the answer,

Unfortunately, the thread you mentionned is the first one I tried and it still don't seems to fix the problem... If you look at the log, iGP appears at GPU 1 while my GT540M as GPU 2, and then :

  1. Nvidia optimus detected, second adapter selected, ignoring useless second adapter, I guess.
  2. 16:26:53: Loading up D3D10 on Intel(R) HD Graphics Family (Adapter 1)...
How can this just happened ... The point 1 is a inside-joke or what ?

I need another log file that contains more than one session if possible.
