Question / Help Optimal Settings for Streaming

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I know there's a million and a half of these, as I've read through most of them trying to solve my streaming issue on my own, but it seems everything I try doesn't quite help. So here's my spiel:

I stream CS:GO a lot however whenever I try to stream CSGO, my frames in game drop dramatically. I normally get around 300 steady when I'm not streaming, and when I stream it drops to around 80-100 and the game just feels a bit sluggish. Below are my specs, as well as a test log I just did not too long ago.

Specs:
AMD fx(tm) 6100 six-core processor 3.3ghz
Nvidia GeForce GTX 970
70mbps up/12mpbs down

Log:

I know these posts probably get redundant, but I really appreciate the help.

Thanks.

You shouldn't use NVEnc encoding when streaming to Twitch, NVEnc is for recording only. But since your CPU is rather slow for x264 encoding, if you insist on using NVEnc:

Use the HP or HQ preset, not anything that's 2-pass (impossible when doing live encoding anyways) or low latency. (llhq).

For some reason the HQ preset for streaming doesn't look as good as the Streaming preset for streaming with NVENC. The Streaming preset looks almost as good as Veryfast to Superfast for x264 in my opinion.

If you experience pixellation on NVENC video you can always set a buffer size lower than the bitrate you use, for example, a bitrate of 3000 would need like a 2500-2900 buffer size. I recently tried that and it seemed more clear, but I don't know why.

Which preset is the streaming preset on NVEnc?
It is simply called "Streaming". There is that and "Streaming 2pass" but I agree with you that the 2pass presets aren't that good. I believe it is the second one down on the preset selection list after Automatic.

If you don't see it, then I don't know what's up. I have GTX 750 TI and it works well.

I see it now. Interesting, I hadn't noticed it before. I'll have to point that out to people trying to stream with NVEnc in the future. You say its quality at low bitrates is around x264's SuperFast or so? That's quite an achievement for Nvidia if so.
