I recently upgraded to a better microphone for streaming. I use an Audio Technica AT2020 USB condenser mic. I did not have enough to purchase the XLR version along with a mixer but this gets the job done 100x better then the Yeti did as far as quality goes. One thing I noticed is that usually on m stream i'am very vocal I tend to yell a lot out of excitement and I noticed that the gain on the microphone is very high. So when louder noises go into the microphone it gets distorted and static. This issue sometimes happens out of nowhere.
I have tried playing around with the settings within Windows to see if it would resolve the issue but can't seem to find the right workaround for it.
Any ideas on where I can find the best settings so that the microphone audio is also at a constant level and will handle whatever volumes are thrown at it?
