Hi guys i have a problem and i hope you can solve it.. ;) thx in advance for any help !

Setup is :

Playstation 4 with Elgato 60 HD connected to my Desktop PC
Optical Cable from PS4 Optical OUT connected to Optical IN from Soundblaster Z Soundcard

Guess thats right so far. Settings changed in PS4 Sound to "Optical Out"

Now whenever i set the sound in OBS Elgato Settings to -> "Sound output to stream" i cant hear anything through my headset / speakers on the pc. My Viewers Stream can hear the sound with no delay ( that was the goal ) . Now all i need is to hear the sound myself via the optical cable setup. I already tried a lot. Normally its just setting the sound device "optical in " as a playback device but that didint work so far...i think im doing something wrong :(

Im not 100% sure on this, but i'm going to assume the Optical In is treated like any other input device and doesn't play back through your speakers by default. You might need to go to Sound Settings -> Recording Devices, find the Optical In and go to its properties. Then enable "listen to device" through your speakers.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

oh sorry guess i wrote it wrong ( german here ;) ) but that is exactly what i did. listen to device is enabled in recording devices. but i still dont get sound. there are many options to use though which device is used for "listen" . Should i disable the onboard sound at all too ? not that i ever tried to use it...
