Bug Report Only 3/4 of screen showing when streaming.

So I stream off a full-HD tablet, which... MAY be the issue, but I don't think it should be? When I stream, only 3/4 of the screen is getting captured. I've tried fitting to screen (CTRL+F), restarting, reinstalling, resizing the streaming area manually in OBS itself, and various sources, as well as checking my video settings... which always default to a specific resolution that's not my resolution ( 1280 x 720 - my tablet runs 1920 x 1080), but I still don't see how that would make it only capture such a specific area.

This is a perfect example of what's going on - look at what the screen contains, then look at the preview OBS is showing. It's about 3/4 coming from the top left corner.

Any solutions?

Select the Monitor capture and press Ctrl+F, or change your base resolution to 1920x1080 and downscale to 720p.

I mentioned I did CTRL+F (yes, with monitor capture selected) and it does nothing. it seems to think that the 3/4 corner is the full extent of my monitor... Changing my base resolution may work though, I'll give that a shot.

Changing my base resolution manually results in it going back to 1280 x 720 as it was doing before - I don't see any option to change to 720p? Unless you mean the option that says "Resolution Downscale", which is by default 1280x720.

Changing my actual monitor to 720 does solve the streaming problem, but causes the issue of everything being awfully blurry...

Hi,

when the stream picture appears blurry to your viewers it's likely because the Max Bitrate you selected in the Encoding settings is not high enough to create a good looking picture with chosen output resolution (the one you read at 'Resolution Downscale' in the Video settings)

Try to increase your Max Bitrate (if your internet upload speed is sufficient) or try down scaling further down.

If you still can't get a satisfying result please include a log file in your next post. It contains your settings, information about how OBS is performing and general information about your hardware and therefore gives us a little more insight into your specific setup and possible problems.

Ah, sorry, I missed that you had said you tried Ctrl+F. I do that sometimes when skimming...

Are you setting your base resolution in OBS Video settings, or from the monitor capture source? Because that can throw things off if you set it from the monitor capture source instead.

A log would certianly help. Your base resolution should not be resetting itself.
