No version of OBS has an "Add Application" feature. You have to use display, window, or game capture. Such old versions should not be used as they contain numerous flaws.

add application, for example adobe photoshop and demonstrating for viewers as it recorded. I was told by Admin that use display but that seems other unnecessarily contents will be shown as well.
