Question / Help Odd trouble when capturing from L4D2

I've streamed L4D2 before without a problem but upon returning to the game after many months of not playing, I noticed strange lagging going on with OBS. The bottom of the window indicated that there weren't any dropped frames and I was doing a local recording (read: not streaming) and yet there was a lag from when I would move my mouse in the game, to what OBS was showing - as if it were dropping most of the frames.

I haven't experienced this issue with any other games I've streamed (including The Witcher 3 on very high settings) so I don't believe it's got anything to do with my hardware. As you'll see in the log file, I've got a pretty beefy PC. And it's not an issue with whichever server I'm connecting to, as it does this when I'm not actually streaming and simply recording. It seems to be an issue directly when playing L4D2. Any suggestions?

EDIT: Specs for conveniences sake:
CPU - i7-3770 @ stock 3.4 GHz
GPU - HD7950 x2 (Crossfire)
OS: Windows 10
RAM: 16 GB

Tried without crossfire?

I hadn't before but, at your suggestion, I did a quick test record with Crossfire disabled and there wasn't stutter. Any idea why that would be? Is there a way to disable Crossfire for just L4D2 without having to entirely disable it every time I want to play this specific game?

There's probably a crossfire profile you can set to disable it on a per-application basis, but that's an amd thing, not an obs thing.

The other option is to use multiplatform, as it has better multi-adapter support

Okie dokie! Are there any major differences between the original OBS and the Multiplatform? Is the Multiplatform updated more?

Original OBS has basically had development stopped completely at this point. Once multiplatform gets to a certain point with feature support, classic is done.
