Hey guys! I realize audio echo/ doubling is a common problem, but I did my best to search around and haven't been able to find any examples of someone experiencing the same issue.
What happens for me is that my audio starts off fine. I can go 3-5 minutes without any doubling on my voice. Then, without changing any settings, it'll suddenly kick in.
-I'm on windows 8.1
-I'm using a PS3 Eye webcam for video and audio.
-Under recording devices -> microphone properties, the "listen to this device" checkbox is not checked off, and I cannot hear myself through my headphones.
-In properties in OBS, the "output audio to stream only" option is selected.
-When twitch.tv is running, the audio is muted. I cannot hear myself through my headphones, and the webcam mic cannot possibly be picking up the audio from the environment, since it is completely silent in the room apart from me talking or mashing buttons on a gamepad.
I'm hoping there's some setting somewhere I missed that can fix this, but it seems odd that it works fine for a few minutes, and then suddenly changes. It's a consistent behavior as well, I can restart my stream on twitch, and the doubling will disappear completely for a few minutes, before reappearing again.
I suspect the PS3 Eye is to blame, and I'll likely invest in a proper headset anyways, but I'd love to get this working for the time being. Any ideas or advice?
