Question / Help OBS x64 or x32 doesn't like windowed mode or G sync?

I have been trying to capture my bf4 in borderless windowed mode but it makes my FPS dip to a crawl. I've tried hooking the game and also through window capture to the same result. I'm on Windows 10. I have an i7 3770k and a GTX 980 ti. The game is running of my HDD.

I thought I should note that I can capture the game in full screen with no problems.

I am also having this issue. This is by no means a fix or a sign for the development team to wash their hands of this issue but if you turn off gsync it goes away. I have lost faith with obs support team because I have posted on at least 3 separate times what the issue was in great detail but have gotten no replies. THE DEVS NEED TO LOOK MORE I TO THIS. I have also posted on 2 separate Nvidia forums and even went as far as posting on the twitch and obs subreddits but nothing also. I understand streaming with a gsync monitor while in windowed mode and having monitor capture on is a small niche but it is a problem none the less and should be treated as a Serious issue. I've tried the obs support irc but they seem to magically stop asking questions when I tell them this happens in monitor capture mode with gsync for Windows apps is turned on. If I only knew how to code I could probably delve dealer into this myself. Maybe I can get a friend to look at it. I am going to test xsplit to see if they are up to snuff on this issuealso.

Why yes, the devs of an open-source piece of software should look into developing a fix to cater to a closed-source, proprietary hardware method that one vendor uses and is rather hostile about others accessing (not to mention somewhat hostile toward open-source ideals in general), which can be already be worked around by end users by disabling said proprietary method and using a well-established, public standard instead (vsync).

That sounds like a great use of time and resources.
Then again, they DID add support for the Hauppage HDPVR 2 to the MP rewrite.
