After going through the forums and reading quite a few, perhaps my problem is unique. there are two separate issues but i believe is caused by one problem, but ill let someone more knowledgeable decide that. i will display 2 different log files from 2 different incidents. the first is a failure to start streaming: 0921 the second, streaming works, but twitch doesnt display me as being online: 0935 when i select the analyze option of the log file, is says that i am running dual graphics cards? which is weird, because there is only one inside of the tower, but it suggests a solution to disable SLI or crossfire, which i cannot find in the settings of the graphics card control panel. any advice would be great.

These are not complete logs. We need the whole thing as far as context and looking through to determine what's going on. Don't edit or trim it. Please just use the Upload function from the Help menu, if it's too large to attach here.

It does appear that your system 'thinks' it has two GPUs installed. You may need to clean-uninstall and reinstall your graphics card drivers to fix this:
09:22:49: Adapter 1
09:22:49: Video Adapter: NVIDIA GeForce GT 740
09:22:49: Video Adapter Dedicated Video Memory: 4223336448
09:22:49: Video Adapter Shared System Memory: 1773365248
09:22:49: Video Adapter Output 1: pos={0, 0}, size={1920, 1080}, attached=true
09:22:49: Video Adapter Output 2: pos={-1600, 96}, size={1600, 900}, attached=true

ok, fresh graphics driver installation. open OBS, select start streaming, twitch never shows online, or any video. i stop the streaming since nothing shows up on twitch. after 30 seconds, i attempt to start streaming again and am met with 2 error messages but can only read one within the time that they appear and disappear. speaks of texture map failure. this is the log file: [https://gist.github.com/86712b18d8ce6e103cb1]

just looking through some log files and having them analyzed, previous had a problem with aero being disabled. i suppose this happened when i installed the graphics drivers. solved this problem. now for the problem with the dual graphics cards. does this not support dual monitors? because that is what it is displaying. if you will look in the log i attached, it shows two different resolutions between the graphics adapters. this is my two different monitors. i honestly dont know why it shows my main monitor as adapter 2, possibly because it is using the hdmi slot instead of the dvi, but this is why it is displaying 2 graphics adapters.

No, OBS sees multiple monitors attached to the same GPU just fine, and only shows one adapter (I have three monitors hooked to mine, still only shows one adapter). Your GPU is for some reason pretending to be two graphics cards. Again, I'd assume driver shenanigans.

Good to hear it's working now, though I'd be a bit concerned due to not really knowing the root cause.

Makes me wonder what I have to do to solve the gpu issue, I'm sure after that, there would be no issues. I'm quite sure that is the problem. Even after uninstall/install. Perhaps it's because I have to download the driver software because the disc that came with the card has never worked. So it's a generic driver? No clue. This is the first issue I have had with the gpu since the purchase in october.

Just download the latest drivers for your GPU and remove anything else. Event he iGPU driver - it should not cause any problems, but its better for troubleshooting to uninstall it.
