Bug Report Obs wont update properly

I have the latest version of OBS as of yesterday, and this morning I opened OBS and it said there was an update for the streaming services list. Everytime I hit update, it shows the update bar but at the very end it becomes red and says "failed update, obs.exe is still in use, close all programs and try again"

no idea how to fix. OBS.exe isnt running in the task manager and it seemingly auto closes when I hit the yes to have it auto update
 
I have another error as of this evening, regarding the same update available. Exact line is:
"Update Failed. Could not download services.xconfig (error code 8064)."
Shows up at the very beginning, doesn't even start downloading.
 
You could always just download the new version and install manually. Sounds like something got screwed up and you need to install fresh anyway. This won't overwrite any of your settings/scenes so don't worry. As an added precaution, you can make a copy of everything located in %appdata%\OBS
 
I re Downloaded and I'm still getting the Update Failed: OBS.exe is still in use. Close all programs and try again. error.
 
I have the same error.

I uninstalled everything, reinstalled, restarted, closed all background programs. Nothing works

I downloaded 0.584b from website. After install it tells me that streamlist needs update.
But nothing I do would let me to install the update.
 
I finally found a fix for this issue. Did you run any service "tweaks"? This can happen if you disable important windows services. If you aren't sure, Check your services.msc and make sure Application Information and Application Experience are not disabled.
