Question / Help OBS Won't save settings

I just downloaded OBS today although I have used it before and it was perfectly fine. I went down to Windows 7 from 8. When I go to 'Settings' and change something then click 'Apply' nothing happens after I click 'OK'. I go back to 'Settings' and whatever I changed is blank like default. This was also occurring when I tried to change setting in other tabs such as 'Encoding','Video', and 'Advanced'. If anyone knows a fix that would be great! (Running newest version on 32 bit software EDIT: I have also tried 64 bit as that is my OS)

Try to Safe ur Settings as an Profile.

Set everything up in the Settings and navigate to "General"
Type in a Name for the Profile and hit "Add"

Should help.

And, run OBS as an Administrator if u dont do so.

^^ Thanks NicOnAcid! I ran as admin and did the method that you mentioned with the profiles. Worked just fine.

Cheers!

I have the same issue, worked before but now my resolution downscale setting keeps reverting to the custom setting (my monitor resolution). Followed the steps to run as admin and save profiles but no success, any suggestions? Also tried reinstalling it, still no luck. Couldn't find a config file that stated my setup was read only as mentioned in another forum any insight into this too? Regards,.
