OBS won't record but once in a session

I am running 25.0.8 with Windows 10 pro (64 bit version 1903 build 18362.900) on an HP Zbook with 32 gig ram.

OBS has suddenly stopped recording. I record to an empty drive that shows 658 Gig free so there is space. When I start a session I can press record and it begins recording fine. When I press stop, the confirmation dialog pops up and I tell it to stop and it does. For the remainder of that session, every time I press Start record, the stop dialog pops up (and of course nothing records.) I've tried changing themes but it doesn't seem to be related to that.Akso, after I quit OBS, a process continues to run.

Nothing is written to the log file showing the failed attempts to record.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Is there any way to increase the diagnostic output of OBS in windows? I've built a new single scene collection using built in mic and webcam and I get the same behavior. Start record works fine the first time i press it in a session. Stop puts up the confirmation dialog and it appears to stop. The next time I press Start Record the Stop confirmation dialog appears. From that point on the session will not record. Also when I quit OBS some processes are left around that I have to kill before I can start a new session.

The weird thing is that the log reflects none of this. If you look at the log it looks like I made a brief recording and then I quit OBS.

Code:
18:25:21.919: ==== Recording Stop ================================================
18:25:46.658: ==== Shutting down ==================================================

In reality, I tried to record several times and interacted with the stop record button. The log didn't even finish until I exit OBS and then killed the process.

Could this be an ffmpeg problem?

Here is the complete (and short) log.

I could really use some help with this.

Could you create a .dmp file after recording then exiting OBS, when the process is still running in the background?

Update: This turned out to be a problem with my NVIDIA drivers. Once I updated them, the problem was fixed. Thanks R1CH!
