OBS Won't Pick Up My Voice PLEASE READ

I was streaming on YT and somebody in chat said that they couldn't hear me. I was not aware of this and when I checked OBS, sure enough, the bars showing how loud my voice was weren't changing. I deleted OBS, reloaded it, checked my settings, muted and then unmuted, changed how loud it was, and nothing changed. However, my desktop audio does work. Help is needed urgently and quickly.

Check your OS sound settings... lots of things can interfere with your (and OBS's) expectations [device enumerations, etc]
