OBS won't mute discord?

So I spent a while messing with Voicemeeter Banana and following multiple guides to separate audio sources, but despite doing that, OBS always picks up Discord even if the audio source it comes from is muted. Is there a shorter, more concise method of setting this up? It worked a few years ago on my old PC but doing this now is just frustrating.

Or maybe there is a plugin that can just choose application sources and mute audio from them properly?

To mute within Discord you should set a shortcut to do so in Discord app.
