Question / Help OBS won't install and keeps telling me i need DirectX

OBS won't install and keeps telling me i need DirectX but DirectX will not download it goes till about 3/4 of the way and stops i even waited for a few days and it wouldn't work.
Please help

Try installing the DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010) http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109 first. If that does not help you could test downloading the binaries of OBS (on the download page) and just extract them to where you want. Then run the OBS.exe from either the 32bit or 64bit folder.

Thanks for the advice although neither actually worked i tried the Runtimes and i had the same problem as last time and when i used the binaries both 32 and 64 said "The program can't start because d3dx10_43.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem." I've tried to reinstall DirectX with no luck.

i've tried it and it doesnt work i shut down my virus protection and it still doesnt work

You need to be more detailed than "it doesn't work". What did you try? What happened? What errors did you encounter?

it keeps saying "[Error] Unable to backup the old version of d3fx11_43.dll. Try disabling anti-virus software."
