Try running OBS as administrator. The game uses DX8 so it should be capture-able by the latest version of OBS. You may also want to try using a game capture hotkey instead, and pressing it once you're in the game itself.
I tried those just now, and it didn't work. All it did was record a black screen and sound.
Also, this is off topic but i've tried recording other games too, but they only play one frame and then pause on the same frame while playing sound. It's frustrating.
