Dear people,

I use OBS to record my gameplay video's to upload onto YouTube. I use the Nvidia NVENC encoder preset, because this isn't causing any lagg. When I use the x264 preset it does. But when I import my footage in Adobe Premiere Pro CC it takes ages to read the file, and when I want to render the file in Media Encoder 2015 it takes ages to export the file. Last time it took two hours to render one frame! Can anybody help me?

PC specs:
- Intel Core i5-4460
- MSI GeForce GTX 960 GAMING 4G
- 8GB Crucial Ballistix DDR3 RAM
- Gigabyte GA-Z87X-SLI motherboard

Marcel.

That sounds like a bug in Premiere, or your system isn't fast enough/powerful enough to decode high resolution mp4 files.

I can record with NVENC and load it into Premiere without issue/delay, and exporting it is... fairly fast. (Premiere and AME kinda suck in that regard). But I have a fast HDD subsystem so it's able to keep up with the large-ish files that I generate with NVENC.

The weird thing is, the problem is occuring since a few weeks, but I recorded with NVENC much longer... But does rendering to an SSD help?

Alright, I think I fixed it. Downloading OBS Studio seems to do the trick. All the old recordings aren't exporting properly still, but the new recordings are rendering like a Lamborghini on a highway! Anyway, thanks for the help!
