i searched the forum and couldnt find an answer. I downloaded obs because i was told it was the best software to use for streaming. The problem is when i add a source and see that it detects the avermedia, i click on it and when i choose start streaming it says invalid resolution. It doesnt give options for resolutions and i tried typing in my own but no solution. i always get "Invalid resolution"

Someone told me something about using the 32bit version and using the stream engine options.I have been trying this and dont think im doing it right, At this point i give up i just need someone to guide me through it.Thanl you in advance

The first thing you need to do is go to Avermedia's website and download the Live Gamer Steam Engine. When you install that, set up your desired settings and then when you add a source to your scene using video capture device, select the stream engine. You should see your screen that is feeding it instead of a red box. Or, you can download OBS MP that has the Avermedia support built in and you can bypass using the stream engine software.

Do you not see the thing that says Download at the top of the page?

OBS MP - https://obsproject.com/download#mp

Depending on exactly that Avermedia Device you have, OBS MP will not work for you. I personally have the Live Gamer Portable and when I used it in OBS MP without the Stream Engine, the audio stuttered. You may be better off with normal OBS and using the Stream Engine.

Stream Engine - http://gamerzone.avermedia.com//support/download

Additional note, for enabling the Stream Engine, make sure Skype is closed before you start OBS.
