Bug Report OBS Window Capture Problem

I know that the hauppage hd pvr can be used as a cap card in xsplit but the avermedia is pretty much the same thing as the hauppage since they use the same software for capture. I hope that you guys can find a way to allow that feature.

Also about the software capture when i do the region with the software here is the software capture program http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/803/beforea.jpg here is the sub region http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/22/subregion.jpg/ here is the obs window overlay problem http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/71 ... ob.jpg/and after tht i enabled aero so that i could get rid of the obs over the preview screen and it worked but the preview screen was frozen i did a movement on my xbox but the preview screen didnt respond heres a video of it :http://www.twitch.tv/darkstorivi/b/334757687. So yea i hope there is a solution for this.

Wow you're lucky it can hook into the capture module screen, My colossus uses Showbiz and Window Capture doesn't even see the capture module. What I found to work was using Wintv7 and setting its renderer to WMVR9(Wintv doesn't support EVR Custom and window capture doesn't work with EVR) and then window capture is able to hook into it with no issues. So I think if you can get a player that works with your Aver card you could do the same, I don't think Window Capture fully supports capturing from the Capture Module.

Well WinTv7 is a Hauppauge program meant for their cards. You may be able to find another player that supports your card. I don't know if AverMedia has a similar application. There are players to like MPC-HC also works with window capturing and has configurable renderer's but it has very iffy support for capture cards. Otherwise I don't know of any other methods, I don't know if the OBS team knows of any workarounds or if your problem is caused by something else.
