Question / Help OBS will only show the top-left portion of my screen

Here's what I'm seeing when I use OBS: http://i.imgur.com/0gxamSa.jpg

It cuts off parts of the bottom and right sides of the screen.

What I've tried so far: tried setting a sub-region for the entire screen, tried various base resolutions / downscales, tried different resolution for my computer, tried everything under edit scene --> position/size... I've probably overlooked something pretty obvious, but I give up.

I'm using a Lenovo Flex 2 15 laptop

first, your base resolution needs to be set to the monitor's resolution (1536x864)
next, try pressing Ctrl-F or under the position and size fit to screen

The position / size settings don't really do anything. Every time I've changed the resolution, it just shows a zoomed out / zoomed in screen in the preview, but with the bottom & right still cropped out.

Sorry, I edited the post to clarify... Neither has worked so far
After you make that change you might have to rebuild your monitor capture or go into properties and use the "set base resolution button".

quick question, why monitor capture?

I'm using window capture, but just for the hell of it I tried what you said for monitor capture and that didn't work either. :/

I saw you using monitor capture in part of the logs. So the problem you are having is in Windowed mode as well? can you post a clean logfile (restart OBS and post log) after you've captured for a few minutes?

That just makes the outline fit in the screen. It's what's in the outline that's the problem - it's not showing my full screen. I've been through almost every setting in OBS so maybe it's something with my computer? It's like OBS refuses to believe that I have more space on my screen, for whatever reason

you dont have sub region enabled in the window capture do you? delete the capture and rebuild it. OBS doesn't like browser windows when they are resized so this might be it.

Tried that a bunch of times, that's not the problem

I also tried selecting the full screen as a subregion and it still cuts off the bottom and the right

I played with window capture last night a bit but forgot to adjust my window size to your resolution (see if the issue is there). After you changed your custom base resolution back to the 864p did the window capture look the same (was it still capturing the same regions?
