I have been trying to configure OBS to stream games well without much FPS drop, because I don't have a streaming PC I have been using Shadowplay to stream which is incredible btw, however switching games causes the stream to close until you're back in another game and it doesn't have any real features. For this reason I have been trying to make OBS a bit more efficient, so I can use that instead, I play mostly DayZ Standalone which isn't optimized so getting the most frames in game is important and with shadowplay I can stream it at 60fps with absolutely no loss in performance in game and the quality is good! However when I use OBS even at 720p@30fps it still has about 10-30 frame drops compared to normal, I am tempted to save up for a few new parts in conjunction with some old parts to build a streaming pc so I can stream with OBS @60fps and not worry about ingame performance however I've seen a few streamers that have good quality without a streaming pc and have great ingame fps, I have also been looking for more info on how much more performance I would get from an i7 but there is not much info or any solid comparisons as to how much I would gain, and I could probably upgrade my ram too but I'll post my specs and OBS settings to see what you guys think.
