Question / Help OBS - Virtual Audio Cable - Mixamp

Ok here's my scenario. I already have mostly everything working perfectly. The only thing I would want is that the stream can pick up music from my PC. So here's my setup.

I have a Astro Mixamp. The Optical is going to the Xbox One and the USB is going to the PC. So basically, the stream can hear the game sound through my Black Magic Intensity Pro and I can hear it as well through my headset beacuse of my Mixamp. The skype is set up that the sound would go through my Astro USB and my Microphone is in the same scenario as well. So now the stream can hear gameplay + skype interactions = GREAT

Now the confusing part.

I want the chat to hear my Desktop sound too. I would love to play music, but for some reason, this caught me a bit off guard when using Virtual Audio Cable. Does anyone have and clue on which line goes where? I don't want to get double sound on the feed. That's what I'm most worried about. Thanks for your help.

In OBS, set your desktop audio device to the mixamp. Set your computer audio to go to the mixamp. Now OBS will pick up the desktop audio, you can hear it through the mixamp and you dont need VAC.

Thanks for the reply. I don't want to the music coming into my headphones. I just want the music playing in the background on the stream.

My goal- I want the viewers to hear gameplay, skype interaction, and music.

Oh, I see you work for elgato, tell Stan I said hello, lol.

Ohh, in that case just choose whatever speakers the computer outputs too(That arent the mixamp) and then set OBS to listen to those. If they are actual speakers, I guess you could mute them so your mic does not pick them up.

You could also have your desktop audio go to the mixamp, and on the mixamp, the dial where it says "Game/Chat", move it all the way to Game. Now you wont hear your desktop audio.

The thing is, I have my my Desktop Audio Device & Microphone set to Astro USB Mixamp. So the viewers can listen to my skype interactions as well. But I guess the way I'm explaining it is confusing b/c it sure hell is confusing. :/

No its fine. Like I said, if you dont want to hear skype over the mixamp, set the dial under the sound dial to "game".

Pandora Music Player : Music for viewers
Xbox One Game Sound : Sound for viewers & caster(Me)
Skype Sound : Sound for viewers & caster(Me)
Microphone : Input for viewers & people on skype

All of these sounds go through my USB Headset ( Astro Mixamp )

Now what i'm trying to do is the following :
I want to keep everything the same but without hearing the music player on my headset.
I want my viewers only to hear music + microphone output + game sound
But i want to mute the Music for myself

Hopefully I'm more clear by saying it like this. :)

Thats very simple with VAC/VB-Cable and the DShow Audio Plugin. But I think not with pandora as it only allows output to the default windows playback device. In that case you would have to change your setup.
Set Skype to go through your mixamp and select the mixamp in OBS, set a VAC line or VB-Cable to your default playback device, so it will be used by pandora. Finally use the DShowAudioPlugin to add the music to each scene you want it on.

You say it's simple but I have been troubleshooting this problem for about 3 hours now. I downloaded the full version of VAC and DshowAudioPlugin and nothing works for me. Is there a way we can skype each other?
