Question / Help OBS video not working in my editing software

I have had OBS for quite a bit now, I was thinking of getting rid of it since it takes up wayyyyyyy to much CPU on my i5-6500
while I'm recording my youtube videos, in order to use OBS I have to make them lower quality as it is, so I went to find something that would allow OBS to work with my AMD r7 370 card, and luckily I did(it can be found here https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/obs-branch-with-amd-vce-support.13996/) but I had an issue after I was finished recording when I went to edit, only the audio would show up, I looked to see if it was an issue with my editing software, but its turns out it was OBS, I'm asking about it since the person who made it had the dev tag and I'm hoping it can't be awenser since it was made by a dev, if not is there a way to save that video file? EDIT: I have tested going between the default, and the AMD VCE and AMD VCE is the issue, even though they are both .mp4 files

Follow that guide, and OBS will use next to no CPU for local recording unless you're on a potato. No need to use VCE.

Download VLC and see if you can play back the recording in that. If the video shows up there, it's an issue with whatever video editing suite you're using.
I can see the video just fine in any video viewing program, but it just won't load the video in my editor.

maybe your editor is not compatible with the given video formats or needs some "special" settings to work properly best idea would be to look at their forums

I will try that, but they are both mp4 files yet one works thats not using VCE, but the one that is using VCE doesn't work.
