Hi guys, since a week or 2 my video keeps freezing with the avermedia live gamer hd.
i tried so many things allready before i decided to ask it here:

reinstalling the avermedia drivers/and clean install
reinstalling obs/and clean install
+i dont know how many things more

and even a clean install of windows.

Nothing seems to be working for me :( i really need help!
I will add a log as well, the settings arent optimized yet.. its just so i can test if the video even works for me in obs,

Dave

The reason is that you prob dont have a good enough up speed for 720p with 60fps, try 720p with 30fps. If it still buffers and freezes try lowering you res to something smaller. 60fps is not recommended for almost anyone

Hi Braxton,

the settings above are for me to see if the video actually works in obs itself.. it has nothing to do with bitrate or anything.. its obs having a problem with the avermedia live gamer hd (or the other way around).. ive changed the settings i used to stream with, and it still happens. im not even streaming atm, so the upload stuff doesnt have a point if my video isnt even working.. ive streamed like 6 months with the setup i have now. and from 1 day to the other it was fucked :(

Even so you should really set you bitrate 1800. The bitrate for 720p must be 1800-2500 at least if you put it to that your stream will look alot better. But other than idk either.... I'm having the same problem and no one is answer me .-.

today i changed my setup, i dont use the avermedia as a "pass trough" (gpu to avermedia, avermedia to screen) anymore.. i just made it so that my gpu goes to the screen (so i can play with my 144HZ monitor again) and my second hdmi cable goes the the avermedia, it doesnt freeze anymore! the only problem i have now is alt tabbing.
But its frustrating that people ask questions like how do i setup this or that.. (while thats all over the internet)
and these kind off questions dont get that attention while these are (for us) a bigger problem!
