Hi,
First time poster,
I have been trying to OBS VCE Branch to record some of my gameplay (recording only, not streaming) but unfortunately I have been having some issues.
So my settings were setup as the VCE thread suggests: https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/obs-branch-with-amd-vce-support.13996/
On encoding I checked to use VCE and OpenCL to NV12 is unchecked.
On video I selected my GPU and resolution is set to 3840x2160, 30fps.
On AMD VCE settings I selected speed profile, I did play around with GOP and IDR but it makes little difference.
The game I'm trying to record is FFXIV Heavensward, it's running on DX11 on 3840x2160, settings ingame are set to maximum and then I disable FXAA.
So my videos record and the app is working great, but when playing the video it stutters heavy. it's unwatchable.
Is there perhaps anyone who records at 4k that can share their settings? My videos looks awesome and the quality is really great, it's just the stuttering and lagging in the video itself.
My frames doesn't really drop much ingame, but obs keeps saying 'high encoding'.
On VCE settings tab I have played with the GOB and IDR settings, set it to CBR and VBR etc and still getting laggy videos.
I then tried changing my game to DX9, also scaling videos down to 1080p on video settings tab but the problem still persists.
Using the latest beta driver, think its 15.8
My Specs:
Intel 5930k.
MSI X99s SLI PLUS.
Kingston 2800mhz cl14 16GB.
Radeon R9 Fury-X
4x LiteOn L6S 256GB SSDs in RAID0.
Thanks for reading my post :)
