Question / Help OBS using all RAM

So ever since the big update last October, I haven't been able to stream or even run OBS.

When I start it, it's all fine, but it's constantly using more and more ram until it gets to the point where 99% of my ram is being used and everything is crashing. This goes even faster if I start streaming.

CPU is perfectly fine, it's the ram that's the issue.
I've tried lowering stream settings too, but even if I'm not streaming, it still does this.

My specs are:
Windows 7
Intel Core i5-650 Processor
8 GB RAM
64-bit Operating System

I tried streaming today to get a log but it didn't make one, there's nothing in the folder. I really don't know what's wrong.

You can access and upload logs directly from the Help menu. If OBS successfully starts, it makes a logfile.

The help menu should have a dropdown with a line that says "Logs". If you do not see that, then you aren't using the correct OBS distribution.

Make sure to get OBS from the official site. If you downloaded a lookalike from, say, the Microsoft store, that is an unofficial redistribution and is not supported.

… unless you're actually using Streamlabs OBS, in which case you should contact streamlabs support.
