obs uses more and more ram while it's running until it crashes (even when not streaming / recording / using virtual webcam)

while it's running, obs uses more and more ram until it crashes (even when not streaming / recording / using virtual webcam)
it started this week, tho i didn't change anything to the settings for a long time
i have total of 16 GB ram
right before it crashed the ram usage was going between 90 and 99%, and seconds after obs crashed it went down to 30/40% usage
