Question / Help OBS support for output to a window.

Hey Jim & company,

I currently run Nvidia surround with g-sync 144 hz monitors. I want to stream the middle monitor to my streaming PC with a capture card without having to drop to 60hz. I know this is tall order, but I think I've come up with a way to do it (other than the stream with no capture card setup) and wanted to see what you guys thought.

NVidia surround supports hooking up an additional monitor outside the 3 used for Surround, and that monitor can be 60hz. My thought was to have OBS capture the 1920x1080 rectangle from the middle monitor, and output it to a 1920x1080 window on the 4th monitor, or directly to capture card on another PC.

Some of the hurdles I can imagine might be capturing a variable 120-144 fps input and outputting it to a 60 fps, but I assumed that would just require a change in capture rate and wouldn't require any encoding.

Would OBS ever support this kind of separate "preview window" or "output window"? Or maybe make the current preview window full screen? I have C++ DirectX and OpenGL experience and thought about writing my own, but if OBS has an easy way of doing this, that would be ideal.

Thanks for any help!
