Question / Help OBS Studio Playback Audio Too Quiet

I found a solution for me after it randomly stopped recording decent volume one day.

Apparently you want OBS volume set in the Volume Mixer (Windows). Right click on the volume/speaker in the system tray, and go to Volume Mixer. Set OBS to have the same volume as everything else (even tho it's not actively making sounds).

Alternatively, go to Sound Settings -> App volume and device preferences ; and set OBS to the same 100 as everything else

Hi Folks.

I resolved the issue on my Windows 10 laptop. The result seems very good. I have attached a document showing how.

EDIT: try also turning up the OBS Studio volume in the a volume mixer (taskbar sound icon), and turning down the volume of the application you are recording, such as browser.
