I got OBS a little bit ago and I've spent a lot of time trying to get it to work. I have looked at many tutorials and forum pages and the closest i got, it still never works. I have been trying it to record the MOBA game League of Legends. What happens is when i hit record and then stop recording and then look at the video i have recorded, it shows what happened in the game for about 1-2 seconds then just freezes on one event. I can still hear the audio and everything, just not what is going on. I have tried everything to get this to work and i'm really hoping that this will resolve my issue. Sorry if my explanation of the problem was bad.

I don't get what you mean by set preset to ultra fast. Also is what your saying that when i do this my problem should be fixed?

Preset is an x264 encoder option that controls how much compression is done on the video, and thus how much work your CPU has to do. Setting the preset to ultrafast means less compression - less work for your CPU, but also a larger output file. The option is under Settings > Advanced.

For local recording we're less concerned about compression since we aren't having to send the video over the internet and we aren't restricted by bandwidth/bitrate limitations. You can run the file through a program like Handbrake later to reduce the file size further.

Your CPU is pretty terrible for encoding, so you might have to lower the resolution to get non-laggy video.
