Question / Help OBS stops responding as soon as capture or streaming starts

I can set up scenes and even preview fine in the program but as soon as I try to either start recording video or start streaming, OBS will not let me stop and stops responding. The counter progresses as if it is either recording or streaming but the stream never starts and the files that are created have nothing.

My set up:
i7 4770K
2x GTX 760 in SLI
16 gig ram
Intel SSD

I ran the log analyzer but all I received was this:
Slow sources detected

Some of your sources are taking a very long time to start or stop when changing scenes. If you use video devices such as a webcam, capture card, etc, add them as global sources to prevent this.

The crash dumps give this message:
OBS has encountered an unhandled exception and has terminated. If you are able to
reproduce this crash, please submit this crash report on the forums at
http://www.obsproject.com/ - include the contents of this crash log and the
minidump .dmp file (if available) as well as your regular OBS log files and
a description of what you were doing at the time of the crash.

This crash appears to have occured in the 'c:\windows\system32\kernelbase.dll' module.

I just replicated it with trying to record. Here's the .log and crash dump for that.

Thanks a lot for you help.

Oki, you dont seem to have any custom plugins installed. My first idea would be its somehow Webcam related. Can you do a test, deactivate the webcam in all scenes, and see if you can then record a short video?
You currently dont use the webcam as a global source right? In the case the first test with a deactivated webcam works, you could try adding it as a global source to see if this fixes the problems, especially the slow sources problem.

Ok, you were on the right track that it was audio related. I sorted it out. If the audio was set to Default then it would freeze. I've got it working now, thanks so much.
