Question / Help OBS startup crashes PSO2

I have recorded some PSO2 videos already and so far there was no problem.
But the brief black screen OBS causes on startup (regardless of whether I am in a game or just looking at windows explorer) caused PSO2 to give an error message and exit yesterday.

Right now I started OBS again while playing PSO2 and got a brief black screen again, but PSO2 didn't exit. In fact just before the crash yesterday I had already recorded 2 videos in PSO without a problem.

I looked at the log from yesterday and it mentions the wrong game (Skyforge), despite having selected the profile for PSO2.
There are 2 logs from yesterday, one with Skyforge and one without any game process...maybe because for some reason PSO2 uses lsm.exe and not it's own executable.

My question is, can I avoid this brief black screen when starting up OBS?
I have it whether PSO2 is running or not.

Don't disable Aero. I assume it's switching back to Basic mode causing the PSO2 crash.

Aero ON actually speeds up Window Captures significantly, Game Captures somewhat, and makes OBS perform faster. The 'old knowledge' about turning off Aero to improve performance hasn't been true since the early days of Vista, when it was implemented pretty poorly.

Weird. It only does that if you're using Monitor Capture under Win7, which no one should be doing ever at this point. Oh well. Fixed now?
