OBS Starting the Output Failed Please check log for details

My laptop died in the middle of the recording and now i can't see OBS on the screen at all. I keep getting an error that it didn't close properly and i just click run normally and the message disappears and then nothing happens. OBS no longer shows up on the toolbar as the app that's open but the icon is still there on the right side and I can't do anything with it when I click on it. i try reinstalling but i can't delete the app without reinstalling and the same errors pop up. I can't find anyone having this same issue. I've seen other people get the error pop up with OBS open and visible but that's not what's happening to me. Can someone please help me?

Update: What I needed to do was restart my laptop so I could delete OBS then go into my finder library go into application support and then delete everything in the cache sub-folder in the OBS folder and redownload and open OBS
