Question / Help OBS slowing down Minecraft

Recently, OBS has been slowing my Minecraft down. ALOT. I used to have little to no frame drops, but now i go from 120 frames to 20. Ive tried changing some settings but no tutorials could help. Does anyone have any ideas?

Specs:
AMD FX9tm0-6300 Six-Core Processor 3.5GHz
8.00 GB RAM
64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor
AMD Radeon R9 290 Graphics Card

I don't believe that RAM is an issue, because Minecraft runs fine with alot of programs on at one time anyway. Opening OBS doesnt lag Minecraft, it only lags when i start recording, I always get stuck at 20 fps. Please Help.

Yeah, encoding is very CPU intensiv. Ingame lag comes mostly from high CPU load

If you play and Stream on the same Machine, your CPU will Freaks out quickly. And your CPU isnt the best.

Can you please Post a Log?

You're base resolution should be your native display resolution. Is 1600x900 the max resolution for your display?

You should downscale more. Look at your cpu usage while gaming and Streaming. Is it near 100%, that's why the game lags. Then downscale more and try again.

I tried to downscale it all the way, only using 40% of the CPU while streaming. Still only getting 20 fps while streaming.

Have u tried without the custom x264 command?
19:09:52: Using custom x264 settings: "cfr=15"

Can you test other games, or is it only on minecraft?!

Did u try monitor capture and window capture?

I tried Recording Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare, and lost little to no frames. Aslo, yes i am using cfr=15 on custom x264 settings.
This is why i am confused X(...

you mean crf. by the way, set buffer to 0 and fix your crf (constant rate factor not constant frame rate)

after you do this, set your preset to superfast.

it is at super fast. all settings are fastest, but OBS just started lowering my frames and i dont know why
try disabling the OBS preview window (right click on the preview, click preview, then uncheck "enable view"). Sometimes that helps. java games are notorious for not being well optimized for CPU usage, which makes it a pain with OBS which is very multithread friendly.
