I am experiencing an issue with OBS being extremely slow to switch scenes and it causing the current scene that I am on to freeze until the switch is successful. This is around 4 seconds and it feels like a lifetime. I am using OBS Studio version 23.0.2. This issue has been happening for a while now since at least version 21 and I just haven't been able to fix it.
I recently created an alternative scene collection with a lot less stuff happening (namely a lot less browser sources) and the issue is still happening. My overall CPU usage for OBS is 5-12% (I mostly stream/record off of a second computer but if I do use this computer to record then I encode using GPU). Total CPU usage including all other programs is around 50%. So my CPU isn't exactly under load.
I am running a Ryzen 7 2700x, GTX 1080 ti and 32GB. None of them are even near max when the freezing happens.
Also, not sure if these issues are related or not but my Elgato Stream Deck is also incredibly sluggish. I noticed these two issues started happening around the same time even though I hadn't made any changes to my system, no system updates or anything like that. The Stream Deck is slow not even with just switching scenes but most all other functions as well such as simply writing chatbot commands to my Twitch chat or navigating in and out of folders I set up on it. This seemed to be resolved once when I uninstalled the stream deck software and reinstalled it about 5 times, but the very next day the issue returned.
