Ok, so while streaming I frequently get stuttering or 'skipped frames.' OBS shows 0 dropped frames but my game will freeze up for 2-5 seconds frequently and it shows up on stream... This is my rig: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/4R7TkL
I am using the 4k as secondary unless I am just playing something new without OBS running, but I usually game on the primary 1080p display and run a capture card, and yes I know I have two sticks that clock it down to 1333 MHz and an aging CPU but I OC'd it to 4.4GHz and just want to know the best way to upgrade this rig I've salvaged together (though I feel like I shouldn't be running into performance issues).
I was thinking of just getting a Skylake PC and creating a 2 PC setup, because I've been told in the OBS Community Chat I might as well just buy a new PC then upgrade the single PC to the new i7-6700k (though would this easily solve everything?)
thoughts? I wanted to start a Skylake PC build regardless because im tired of the AMD CPU I have, I don't have any performance issues until I have OBS and everything going, but I'm beginning to be less confident in my abilities to custom build a PC and am thinking about just buying a PC off like CyberPower with the i7-6700k and gaming with my current 980 Ti on a 2 PC setup for a smoother experience.
