I got a problem while livestreaming,

I use a Elgato Game Capture Card HD which is like brand new. But sometimes when im in mid stream it randomly disconnects which makes my monitor blackscreen. I got a brand new laptop which i use for streaming.

PS3 --> Elgato set-up:

PS3 --> component cable --> Elgato
Router --> cable connection --> PS3
Elgato --> USB --> PC
Elgato --> HDMI --> Monitor

pc specs:

- i7 quad core 2.7ghz
- 8gb ram
- 1tb harddrive
- 2gb amd radeon graphics card
- windows 8 64 bit
- obs 32 bit

ISP settings:

- 25mb/s download speed
- 6mb/s upload speed
- wireless on pc
- wired on ps3

would this be a connection issue or a software issue or just a hardware issue?

Could you define what you mean when you say "makes my monitor blackscreen"? The log says that you were just disconnected. I looked at the log and didn't any particular errors (unless I didn't look closely enough)

Also you're using 0.553, which had the updater disabled. Manually download 0.571 to upgrade

Mid stream I get randomly disconnected, because I'm using an Elgato Game Capture card it blackscreens my monitor which is very annoying. Is this a connection issue?

Also should I use cable connection on my ps3 or pc when im livestreaming? because at the moment i use cable connection to play on my ps3 and wireless to livestream on my pc. I will update my OBS aswell.

I would not recommend sending streaming data over wireless, it can be quite unreliable, and as a result is more prone to dropping packets.

I don't think the Elgato device would be causing your display to turn off, it almost sounds like a GPU driver crash. Try updating your GPU drivers, maybe grabbing the latest beta drivers?

It's the monitor of my ps3 which is blackscreening, not the monitor of my laptop so I recon it's not the GPU drivers. I read on multiple forums that it's normal the Elgato blackscreens your monitor where you're playing on when you're starting up or shutting down your stream.

Oh ok, I misunderstood, sorry then. You could perhaps try other USB ports. If you have any USB 3.0 ports that would be ideal.

I tried multiple different usb ports today, i updated my gpu drivers, i updated OBS but it still disconnects randomly.

also in the bottom left corner of OBS it now says that the video encoding is to slow it skips frames. i got the video encoding on a 2500 bitrate.

Disconnects are caused by an unstable connection or your service provider. You should update your OBS version too.
