Question / Help OBS Settings?

Can you help me with some good OBS Settings for local recording?
My PC Specs :
- i5 2500k 3.3 GHz
- nVidia GTX 550TI
- 8 GB RAM
 
you can try

1920x1080
60fps
preset ultrafast
bitrate 1000
buffer 0
audio 320
cbr = unchecked
cfr = checked
custom x264 command = crf=18


see how this works and make sure to post a log if you run into problems
 
I am not sure, but shouldn't using the ultrafast-preset give terrible results?
I think 1080p @ 30 fps should be better, should be doable with veryfast.
 
Might work but needs testing, in general by using ultrafast with these settings, only the filesize will increase, quality will be the same, so why put more stress on the cpu by using a higher preset which could lead to lower performance in your other software/games? :)
 
Ah, okay, thanky Jack0r. I knew that for the lower resolutions going with superfast or ultrafast is horrible, wasn't sure how high resolutsions are affected.
But assuming it will be the same size, you probably want to use the fastest preset anyways.
