Question / Help obs records for only 1 sec?

for some reason my obs only records for 1 second and then stops like it looks like its still recording but it does not. it kinda like freezes how do i fix this.

I take it you're getting the red warning at the bottom of the window that it's "taking too long to encode"? It typically means your settings are too high, and that you need to use more downscaling to reduce CPU usage of the encoder. However, I wouldn't be able to know for sure without a log file, so post one and then we can help.
