Question / Help OBS records a black screen while recording a game.

I record videos to put on Youtube, today I started to record and realized about 3 minutes into the video that OBS was just recording a black screen with my voice over it. I finished recording the video and went back and watched it. Whenever I would minimize or alt-tab to check if OBS was recording correctly, it would start recording the game, but the moment I tab back to the game, it starts recording a black screen again. I've recorded videos of the same game before without these issues. Thanks for any help you can give me.
 
Does game capture work with any other games? You could try running the game in borderless windowed mode and using window capture. I think even display/monitor capture will work with fullscreen programs in Windows 10.
 
Well I figured out what my issue was.

I guess I wasn't running the 64bit program, I was running the 32bit version. I ran the 64bit and had no issues while the game was in fullscreen and using game capture.
