Bug Report OBS randomly mutes

I have an ASUS Xonar Essence STX soundcard if that helps any. I have increased the scene buffering time to 1200 ms and it still hasn't helped any (Someone suggested increasing by 100 until issue was fixed).

I don't know if this thread can still be helped, but since I never got an email notification for a response on this post, I assumed it was lost in the sea of other topics. I now see I have to "check" email notifications... Is there not an ALL setting that makes any notifications go to my email?

here is the attached log file from tonight (mic randomly muted once in the middle of my stream)

This is very unusual. It seems like it was affecting your mic. Is the mic the one having the issue, or desktop sound capture in general? This is definitely unusual. (Also is that a 6-physical-core CPU? That's crazy)

Fortunately the only problem is my MIC audio getting muted. Everything else works perfectly fine (other than the occasional drop out to twitch servers because twitch can derp).

I will just be talking to my viewers and all of a sudden people in my chat will say "clide your mic is muted". My mic mute hotkey is numpad 0, so it is far away from where my hands are (no accidental mutes)

In case that log file didn't say (I didn't peruse it) this is my audio equipment
sennheiser pc 350
ASUS Xonar Essence STX

Actually, it's somewhat baffling that it happens even when scene buffering time is 1500. Okay, it appears to be a weird timing thing that I never really see. I have an idea, but I cannot guarantee it'll work, it's just a total shot in the dark here and I sometimes use this to try to fix timing issues for people, but try this:

1.) Open a command prompt (run the command prompt as admin)
2.) Type: bcdedit /set useplatformclock true
3.) Restart windows, try OBS again to see if it affects anything

Again, it's just something to try, but I feel like it may not work. If it doesn't, I may run some more tests on you some time, if you happen to have time later.

This is quite frustrating. Okay, I want you to come by chat some time for some tests. When/if you do, I want you to private message me on there (Jim-, or Jim|sleep if I'm asleep) and then say my name to ping me. I want to test a different version on you that may resolve this problem for you.
