As soon as OBS rleased the latest version (0,651b) and updated my previous version, I started having random events which deteriorated my stream.
These events vary from adding random lag to the gameplay which brings facecam and mic audio to not be in sync, facecam glitching and skipping frames and the software itself dropping frames.
I saw that when this happened, my cpu went from 45%-50%, 700kb of ram used approx (as it has always been) to 100%, more thaan 1,2 gb of ram used, leading my entire machine to a huge lag (even moving my mouse around the screen has become fairly difficult).
The "lag" may last of a millisecond or up to 10 seconds.
It NEVER happened before the update and I know that also bigger streamers, with bigger and more powerful machines, have noticed this problem. What differs my situation from the event that might occur to someone that have a better pc is that I dont have that much power since I'm using a laptop to stream the gameplay.
Specs are as follow:
CPU i7 3610QM
GPU Nvidia 650m 2Gb
RAM 8Gb
SSD with OS and OBS installed
HDD as storage
I also capture the gameplay from my Xbox 360 and Xbox One using the Elgato HD
I used to stream at 30fps, 1920/1080 at 2100kbs
Now, because of this problem, I had to lower to downscale to 30fps, 1280/720 at 1900kbs
Filter is on Bilinear
x24CPUpreset is on Ultrafast (was on veryfast but had to change it because of the above cited issue)
Everything else is more or less default
PLEASE HELP
I had to go back and use xplit and, in the meantime, I went from 20-40 viewers to 5-6...
I will try to post a log of the event as soon as Ill try to stream again using OBS
