I play my games through the OBS preview, my capture card the ExtremeCap U3 from AverMedia allows me to do this without any noticable latency, I do this because it allows me to put my Twitch chat as an overlay over the game and play it on the same screen without the need for a second monitor. The issue I'm having now tho is changing the resolution and framerate I stream at caps the preview to the same.
So if I want to play 1080p 60fps in the preview then I have to set to stream also at 1080p 60fps. I was wondering if there is anyway I can make it so the preview isn't effected by my streaming resolution and framerate. I want to be able to keep the preview screen, which is what I play from, in 1080p 60fps but actually stream at say 720p.
