Question / Help OBS Not Responding when Capture Card Added

OBS has been fine ever since I've used it but whenever I add my capture card to the scene it instantly stops responding and crashes and cannot be reopened without restarting my computer. I've updated all software and drivers for my computer, OBS and my capture card. I've tried looking around but I've not found any solutions online. Any help would be great.

Can you open it with the Game Capture HD software?

Also, just on a side note, 3500kbps is WAY more than is needed for 480p, and will cause massive buffering for your viewers if you're streaming to Twitch. The most you want to use (unless you're a Partnered caster) is 2000kbps, which is still kind of overkill for 480p.
