Question / Help OBS Not Responding, crashing PC

Here's the issue:
Start preview, everything is fine but when I stop preview, OBS doesn't respond and I can't end the task in manager or processes. The only way I can get rid of it is if I log off my user and log back in.

I can't restart my computer because it gets stuck in the shutting down process so not only is OBS crashing but my PC seems to be as well. I end up having to do a hard reset.

I have attached my dump file and here is the last log from the not responding scenario.

I have recently updated my drivers, defrag, windows update and virus scan (I use AVG). The whole shabang.

Any help is appreciated :)

Most likely your "QuickCam" device is responsible for this. OBS being unable to shut down means that a device driver or kernel has an open handle locked. Some devices don't like being turned on / off frequently, so make sure to add it as a global source, and try also lowering the resolution to reduce USB bandwidth strain.

I did what you told me to do and it still crashed my PC (with Webcam unplugged). I logged back in, and started OBS to try something else and it had reset my scenes so I think I'm going to give up at this point.

Maybe my PC just can't handle it. :) Appreciate the help
