Question / Help Obs not recognizing external monitor.

I have a laptop running windows 10. I plugged my tv into the laptop using hdmi. The laptop works with the tv as if I have a second monitor and am sharing the same desktop, not reflecting the 1st monitor but being an extension of the desktop itself. Obs doesn't recognize the 2nd monitor. When I try to set the monitor capture source obs only sees monitor 1. What am I doing wrong?

Wait, cloned or extended? if extended, try restarting your PC.
