I have recently gotten an ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q which is a G-Sync 165hz monitor and was noticing what appear to be missing frames or a low framerate when i was capture local files, despite OBS saying i had no missing frames, i have been able to capture 1440p 60fps video fine in the past (with my old monitor). I opened a thread in the 'Questions & Help' sub forum....
https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/choppy-erratic-framerate-on-captured-video.42725/
That thread lists my log file and some short videos of the problem. To cut a long story short in order for me to get a nice 60fps capture i had to disable the G-Sync feature on my monitor.
Now i know these G-Sync monitors are a niche product atm but will only become more popular over time, so this might not be a massive priority to the devs at this time but there will become a time when this IS a big problem as it will render OBS useless with G-Sync monitors.
Does any devs have a work around or settings to use in OBS other than me having to disable G-Sync everytime i want to do a capture?
