Question / Help OBS not finding my video adapter

I have a laptop, with a AMD radeon hd7970M and I also have an intel HD 4000. When I open OBS and go to settings and then video, it only shows my intel HD4000 graphics card, which I do not use to play games.
I have went into my catalyst control centre and used switchable graphics to make OBS run on high performance (Which means it will use the hd7970m instead of the intel HD4000, however it continues to only say intel HD4000 in the video settings.

Does anyone know how to fix this so that OBS can read from the other graphics card?

The drivers for AMD-switchable laptops do not support most capture methods. This isn't particularly a fault of OBS, it's just drivers and AMD.

The *only* way to guarantee a capture on AMD switchable-graphics laptops is by running your game in a borderless/windowed mode, and using window capture with 'compatibility mode' checked in its properties.
