Question / Help OBS Not Capturing Browser (Window Capture)

I have tried to capture my browser (Google Chrome) using window capture but all that I see is a black screen. I have tried "Capture Layered Windows"and "Compatibility Mode" and none of those options seem to fix it. The window capture is still black, and window capture works with every program except for browsers. Help?

Having the same issue .. was working fine a week or so ago ... now chrome wont work with window capture.

You may have to disable hardware acceleration in the browser. I believe Chrome has two switches that both need to be off for it to work.

Just wanted to write back and say thank you .. this did the trick for me :)
I had chrome open and preview stream up in OBS and literally watched the screen go on and off as I clicked hardware acceleration under chromes advanced settings lol
